The one thing I don’t like about New Year’s Eve is that you always have these grand expectations for it to be so wonderful and it is always a let down.  Well, not this year.  I refuse! I have good friends and a wonderful husband.  What else could I possibly need?

I went shopping with my sister this morning to try and find something cute to wear.  I have a couple good options now.  I’m still waiting to decide if I go the more casual route, jeans and cute shirt and shoes.  Or the more fancy one with the dress and awesome heels.

P.S. It has been in the 70s  for over a week now, except tonight is supposed to be in the 20s.  What gives?

I love to read.  Currently, I have a few books that I’m trying to read.  It takes me a while to get through a book because I can’t always find time to sit down and get into it.  I’ve had the past week and a half off from work so I’ve been getting some good reading in.  Sadly, I am stuck on one book.  Normally I wouldn’t bother finishing it, but I guess I feel sort of obligated to get through it.

Today I sat down and powered through about 1/4 of it.  The content is ok.  The grammar is horrible.  I don’t know if she wrote it like that on purpose.  I think in some instances she’s trying to convey the ethnicity of the characters.  But, it is not ok to change verb tense in the middle of a sentence.  And, commas are your friend.  I got through about three pages, stopped, and tried to find one and couldn’t!  Now, I am not great at English.  I like science and hate English and grammar and all that crap.  I just like to read and not have to think about that stuff.  The grammar in this thing is so bad though.  It takes attention away from the actual story.

On a positive note,  when I can concentrate the story is good.  It’s a romance novel, which I don’t usually go for.  Let me tell you, some of this stuff is saucy!   I’m was sitting here, just me and the dog, and I literally blushed!  Goodness!  Well, I guess I’ll get back to it!

So, I have never been much of a blogger.  Until recently, when I started frequenting a few posted by some friends of mine.  Anyway, I figured that I am in fact an interesting person and I do have things to say.  Thus, the BLOG!  So, I live in a tiny one bedroom apartment with  my husband and very large dog.

She is about 90 Lbs of pure love!

It is “cozy”.   I have become some sort of an organizational guru.  You would never know how much stuff we really have in this place.   I do  in fact believe that I am a genius in that area, thanks to my mom.  One day, I will share my secrets.

In the mean time,  I work for a pharmaceuticals manufacturing company.  I actually like my job.  I have a flexible schedule and get to work with chemicals and such, which is what I have really always wanted to do.  I do hope some day to go back to school, get my PhD and be the HPIC (Head Person In Charge).  Until then I resolve to let the powers at be do their thing.
